Frequently Asked Questions

Answers about Nordic market entry, AI search visibility, and how we can work together.

AI Search Visibility

What is AI search visibility?

AI search visibility is about making your website findable and citable by AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overview. Unlike traditional SEO which focuses on ranking in search results, AI visibility requires structuring your content so AI can understand, interpret, and cite your information in its responses.

Why isn't my website showing up in AI search results?

Most websites are invisible to AI because they're not structured for machines to understand. AI doesn't read websites like humans - it needs a data layer of entities, relationships, and structured facts. Without proper schema markup and content structure, AI tools can't interpret what your site is about, even if your content is excellent.

What's the difference between SEO and AI visibility (GEO/AEO)?

SEO focuses on ranking pages in traditional search engine results. AI visibility (also called GEO - Generative Engine Optimization, or AEO - Answer Engine Optimization) focuses on making your content understandable to AI systems so they can cite you in their responses. Both require good content, but AI visibility specifically needs structured data and schema markup.

What is schema markup?

Schema markup is a standardized vocabulary (from schema.org) that helps search engines and AI understand the content on your website. It's code you add to your pages that explicitly tells machines what things are - this is a Person, this is a Service, this is a Price. Without it, AI has to guess what your content means.

Which AI tools does AI visibility optimization work for?

AI visibility improvements help you get found by ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overview (formerly SGE), Bing Chat, Claude, and other AI assistants that pull information from the web. The structured data approach works across all major AI platforms because they all rely on understanding content semantically.

Nordic Market Entry

Which Nordic markets do you cover?

Primarily Sweden and Denmark, where I have native language skills and 20+ years of market experience. I also support expansion into Norway and Finland, and have worked in UK, Ireland, and New Zealand markets. For market entry, I step in as GTM lead, country manager, or commercial lead.

How do you help companies enter Nordic markets?

I get you from zero to first clients, partners, and pipeline. This includes finding your first buyers and partners, adapting your positioning for local markets, executing go-to-market plans, handling labor law compliance, authority liaison, procurement documentation, and leading sales efforts until traction is proven.

What languages do you speak?

Danish (native), Swedish (native/bilingual - 20 years living in Sweden), English (full professional - attended school in USA), and German (elementary). This native fluency in both Danish and Swedish is essential for effective Nordic market entry and local business development.

What makes Nordic market entry different from other regions?

Nordic markets have unique buyer behavior, cultural nuances, and competitive landscapes. Success requires understanding local business culture, speaking the language, navigating specific regulations, and adapting your value proposition - not just translation. Trust-based relationships and local presence matter significantly.

Working Together

How do I get started?

Every collaboration begins with a free discovery call. You can choose a general call or a focused AI Readiness Discovery, depending on whether your priority is Nordic market entry or AI visibility. Book at tidycal.com/simon-hemph. From there, you choose the engagement that fits your needs.

Do you work with B2C companies or only B2B?

I work with both B2B and B2C companies. My background includes scaling comparison shopping services (PriceRunner, Prisjakt), job search platforms, SaaS companies, and marketplace businesses. AI visibility and Nordic market entry apply to both B2B and B2C contexts.

Can you work remotely or do you need to be on-site?

I'm a remote-first operator based in Sweden with frequent presence in Denmark. I work effectively async, manage time well, and don't need close supervision. For Nordic market entry work, I travel as needed for client meetings, partner development, and sales activities.

What kind of companies do you work best with?

I work best with growth companies that are ready to expand but not ready to build a full team, have real budget (not infinite), have traction and are ready to push into a Nordic market or get serious about AI visibility. Fast, focused, no bloat.

What kind of companies don't you work with?

I don't work with companies that want quick fixes without building proper foundations, prefer to operate on assumptions rather than data, expect results without investing in the right infrastructure, or just want more tools instead of better systems.

What's your background and experience?

20+ years scaling B2B and B2C companies across the Nordics. Part of 5 exits (€30K to €25M) as co-founder, employee, or consultant. Key roles include Country Manager at PriceRunner Denmark (zero to multi-million DKK), CMO at Telness (5x ARR growth), and GTM consultant for enterprise AI platforms.
